Peter Handler

Contemporary furniture of anodized aluminum, fabrics, wood, and glass, and my photographs printed on wood, aluminum and glass/acrylic.  I  use machine processes of milling and lathe turning, and much handwork.  My work with clients is almost entirely custom, usually meeting with them in their homes to help facilitate commissions.

My objective in design is to create a body of work that has a little whimsy, and more formality.  As a former jeweler, every little detail matters, even the ones that the owner of the pieces only mnay see on close inspection.

As one who started building aluminum and glass furniture, my evolution has been toward much of my work being woodwork, only in wood, or in combination with aluminum.
