Kate Dannenberg

I make objects of functional adornment for the body and home inspired by the natural world and by the materials I use. Centering metal and wood, I work primarily using recycled, salvaged, and second-hand materials. My work is made by hand with thoughtful attention to craftsmanship.  My direct carving and fabrication techniques inform both the appearance and the feel of each piece. My work is functional as well as beautiful. I hope to bring beautiful art objects into everyday life, not only precious but loved.
