About Dante Germain

Over time, I discovered that glass is a beautiful medium to represent water, allowing me to capture a moment in time like a sculptural photograph. My work highlights the natural beauty of our most vital resource while being framed and contrasted by industrialization. Being heavily influenced by the pioneer of high-speed photography, Harold Edgerton,  these sculptural snapshots are intended to stop the world around you even if it is just for a moment. My most recent project has been designing a line of glassware  and vases shaped from rocks collected from local and iconic bodies of water.  The aesthetic is simple and clean, emphasizing the beautiful organic features shaped only by nature.
