About Erica Rollings
When I first started making glass panels, I sought out nature-made patterns that occur across scientific boundaries i.e. a lung that looks like a live oak tree, a cochlea which could be a sea shell. This latter example brings up fractals which can be found everywhere and which tie together mathematics and art. I learned the craft of stained glass as a teenager experimenting with my uncle, father, and brother. I am self-taught.
