I want my work to be something that offers space for authorship to dream. I seek to open up a new space and let others inhabit it.  Having spent some time exploring traditions of painting through my background as a painter the genealogy of woodcraft appealed to me with the properties and uses of various species and its design heritage. By utilizing the techniques of bridle joinery rattan binding  spindle shaving  and hand carving  I feel myself interacting with the legacies of modern furniture makers like Nakashima as well as furniture traditions like Shaker design and carrying that influence into new realms of creativity.
