Alicia Guek Geok Toh

I explore the liminal space between the ephemeral sharpness of light and the soft romanticism of fibers and textiles. My work is a dialogue between the tensions of these seemingly disparate materials. Light often perceived as a fleeting precise entity is woven into the very fabric of my creations becoming a tangible material in its own right. Applying innovative 3D forms to traditional french macrame,  I create nuanced landscapes of inner strength illuminating the pathways individuals carve towards their own unique forms of enlightenment.
