These wheel thrown stoneware vessels are made by me. Designs are inspired by Native American and African pottery. Sgraffito is the technique I use to decorate my work. This involves covering the leather hard clay with a colored slip; then carving patterns back into the clay. My love for clay started when I was a student in college (Berea College), and the process still fascinates me to this day.
