As a functional ceramicist, I first aim to create objects that are useful and well-designed to serve within our daily lives. I draw inspiration for surface design from the built environment of Philadelphia, the city where I've lived for over 20 years. I design intricate surface patterns that celebrate the rich architectural landscape of the city, employing a variety of techniques to achieve engaging textures and patterns on my vessels.
