Sergey Levchin

My instinct is for design that is more rational and articulate than fanciful and obscure. To be sure, I hope my pieces are able to instill in their viewer and user a sense of wonder, but it is rather a wonder at the simplicity and elegance of the design rather than its exuberance and overstatement. Above all else, perhaps, my concern is with an object that is well crafted: a product of its maker's sensitivity to the material, proficient technique and commitment to quality.
