I am a self-taught artist who has been creating my bronze vessels since the late 1990s. Presently, I am the only living member of my Tribe who creates bronze vessels as I do. The traditions of my Kickapoo and Potawatomi heritage, originally a Great Lakes Culture, as well as the beauty of the natural world, are inspirational influences for my award-winning bronze designs. I strive to produce refined, graceful, and symmetrical shapes that depict carved animal images and textures that are meaningful to me. I use the lost wax casting method of bronze making to create limited editions of each of my designs. The multi layered colors of the hand painted patina enhance the imagery on each vessel.
