I find endless satisfaction in taking everyday coins and giving them an unexpected purpose. Using jeweler's tools, I can make slight alterations to pennies, quarters, nickels, and dimes and reinvent their often-superfluous nature into one of a kind artwork. I get great satisfaction in relating to my audience through everyday materials and revel in making them think twice about the potential of the change in their pocket. My artwork is often painstakingly laborious which I use as a continuous theme throughout my work. My practice incorporates a wide range of techniques including coin cutting, embroidery and soldering.
