About Youngjoo Yoo

What has merely been an intangible image in my mind metamorphoses into a tangible entity this is the greatest pleasure I am finding in metal art. I have mainly utilized hammering and fabricating techniques and computer programs  by means of which I have produced jewelry with organic images like flowers  leaves. I am greatly interested in the geometric platonic solid  based on which I have produced my own designs. But the work with geometric forms also may give a cold feeling to spectator for the inanimate images included in it. To mitigate this feeling  I often integrate the inanimate images with animated ones such as flowers  trees  and other live objects in nature  in order to endow the work with the warm feeling. I pursue not only aesthetic values but also practical value in my artistic journey. This pursuit  in turn  acts as a catalyst for my artistic maturity  arousing aspirations to create other unique works of art.
