Luis Enrique Gutierrez

I am a potter living full time in Raleigh, North Carolina since 2018 but originally from San Juan de Oriente  Nicaragua. Since I was 13 years old I have been working in my Indigenous Technic traditional artwork that I learned under my father's direction. As an apprentice I  learned traditional motif by Nicoyan and Mayan Indians.   Now I am developing my own style and design using new colors and innovation but keeping the legacy of my stone burnished clay and the culture of my ancient family.
