After designing leather goods for about 15 years my love of craft began when I was exposed to saddle stitching in San Francisco. I love the technique for 3 reasons: first, it is durable and will not unravel. Second, it is quite beautiful to see the linen thread perfectly aligned atop the leather with no marks from a machine. Third, It creates a more sustainable product because if a repair needs to be made, it can be re-stitched through the same holes. Those three themes, durability,  beauty, and sustainability, are important values for me as I create what I want to put into the world. The collection is minimal and timeless and meant to bring delight.
