Creating a new piece from several existing pieces of clothing is 100 times more difficult than making something from scratch. One cannot plan with a design, maybe a vague color scheme but not much more. Every decision that needs to be made must be done on the spot.   How can I keep my signature design sensitivity and cohesion in the collection? The challenge is so much bigger than working with new material. Since I started my own label, I have tried to become sustainable by using existing garments to make new ones.  For the last 5 or 6 years I have been developing my upcycled leather designs.
