James Mosier

I began weaving baskets in 1979. I started weaving using traditional materials, including round reeds, sea grass, and Danish cord. In 1998, I changed direction and started looking for other materials to work with. I settled on weaving aluminum. Now my vessels are created using aluminum that is painted with acrylic paint, cut into thin strips, and hand woven into vessels and wall sculptures.
