Jennifer Ivory

I make 3D insects using ink on heavy handmade paper. I draw each insect which I then cut out and shape. I add finishing details trying to achieve as high a degree of realism as I can. Finally, I apply a protective coating to each piece and frame the insects in shadow boxes I make from recycled wood. I get a great deal of artistic satisfaction from hearing my work has given someone a whole new appreciation for the beauty in the insect world. People often mistake my bugs for the real thing.
