Stacey Lee Webber

My artwork upcycles found materials into objects and adornment that are representative of the decreasing value of American hand labor. I find it continually enthralling to manipulate the shape, texture, weight, color and design of simplistic everyday object that reflects the struggle of the American working class, such as a brass screw or a copper penny. I cherish working with found materials whose history is physically evident and pushing their intrinsic limitations to the point of nonrecognition.
