Fancy jewelry with urban flair. Balance within asymmetry. Organic with an industrial twist. Blurring lines between masculine and feminine. Strength with a delicate touch. Jewelry designs crafted with old world techniques to last generations. I shape vintage coral with traditional lapidary equipment and add precious gems into the designs for a pop of color or sparkle. Starting with a simple sheet of silver, I create dimension using a hydraulic press. Layering of metals by soldered yellow and rose gold onto silver forms. I draw patterns on the metal in a permanent way, by slowly cutting it out. I have always been inspired by aquatic life and feel most relaxed and myself near the water. Using the coral and abalone in jewelry is my old to the sea, giving it another life.
