My Aqua Series is inspired by wave patterns in water and the patterns of raked sand in the Zen gardens of Japan. My objective is to exploit the fact that jewelry isn't static, but is seen in motion. I also use negative space in the some designs so the fabric the brooch is worn on becomes part of the composition. My Magnification Series exploits the optics of the glass so the pieces appear to glow from within. The varying thickness of the glass allows for the vibrant blue color to change in intensity.
