At the age of eight years, Stephanie learned the technique of bobbin lacemaking which is still very popular in the Vogtland region. After studying textile art with a focus on lace, she now crafts her delicate, award-winning pieces of jewelry using the traditional technique of bobbin lacemaking. Her works are made from ultra-thin steel or silver wires and hand-dyed polyamide threads which enable her to create flexible structures and voluminous shapes. The bobbin technique provides transparency and lightness.
