I'm influenced most greatly by principles and furniture designers from the 1930's to 50's, a furniture era sometimes referred to as Mid-Century Modern. I use the latest 3D modelling software to model my designs, another software to create a toolpath my CNC can understand, and then transfer this information to the CNC machine, which cuts out complex shapes in three dimensions, on both sides of the material.  I've managed to incorporate the latest manufacturing technology into my one man shop, allowing me to make one off pieces as effectively as the largest furniture factory makes thousands of pieces. My furniture style blends my industrial, manufacturing experience with a growing interest in sculptural forms.
