About Sharon Tesser
I create artwork made completely of fabric. The images begin with an original sketch. I draw this onto a wide weave gauze which is dyed in a base color. I use small pieces of fabric over and under the gauze to create the finished image. The pieces of fabric are my palette, the color, shadow and light. The finished art is sealed with an archival quality acid free adhesive. It is especially important to me as an artist to use recycled cloth as well as vintage textiles. I see myself as a storyteller and each of my images is my tale of joy, sorrow, pain, love, hope etc. My passion comes from a belief in the beauty of the smallest moments in life.
