About Beth Levine

Starting with wool fibers I make decorative items such as free-form vessels, table runners, pillows and a few scarves using the wet felting method of warm water,  soap and agitation of the fibers.  I then overdye each piece using Japanese shibori resist dye techniques.  I have had to modify the techniques due to the thickness of the wool felt.  Other surface design treatments are also used such as color blocking, or inlays of fiber or previously felted shapes.
