About Aprille Nace
It begins with the idea of capturing time; an artifact of the interplay between myself and the clay. The work is an exploration of color, light, and rhythm and a meditation on form. It is a record of the intimate interaction between me and the clay: a record of hand craft and awareness of self. My process is methodical, measured, and spontaneous. I mix my porcelain in small batches. Often the interior is glazed but the exterior is always left unglazed for the raw materiality of the clay.
