Kate Dannenberg

Philadelphia, PA

I make useful and decorative objects as well as jewelry, grounded thoughtful craftsmanship. Across human history we can see how time and time again humans have developed systems of money, religion and ritual, and, of course, adornment as a means of identification and expression. My work is functional and is intended to entice the viewer into wanting to touch, wear, hold, use, and feel the piece in their hands, simply looking shouldn’t be enough. By using responsibly sourced materials and environmentally conscious products, I aim to bring respect for the natural world to every aspect of my practice.
