Jane Pellicciotto

Portland, OR

With a background in graphic design, I approach jewelry as small sculpture, focusing on surface texture, contrasting forms and asymmetry. For inspiration, I look to the synchronicity of forms and patterns that appear over and over across nature and through the built environment. I am particularly fascinated by ancient structures, planned and built by man, but which ultimately become distorted and softened over time...with beautiful results. A reminder that our ability to control has its limits and that we are left with no choice but to embrace unpredictability and impermanence.
