THE WHARTON ESHERICK MUSEUM PRIZE FOR EXCELLENCE IN WOOD
JUDGES: JASPER BRINTON & NANCY SCHIFFER
I work with animation, sound and sculptural materials to create 3D animated forms, functional objects, furniture, musical instruments that are inspired by my personal experience and my love of music and form. The beauty of the human body and characteristics of various creatures and life forms always inspire me. This naturally leads me to take interest and create anthropomorphic forms and organic forms. I constantly explore innovative ways of creating objects based on this motif in various formats. I also explore the sensory experience and sculptural qualities that could be derived from a functional object made out of wood.
