Ira Frost

Contoocook, NH

I hand carve each bird from wood and hand paint with acrylic paints. Each one is an original. I mount the bird in a setting with natural environment as you would see it in the wild. I also make all leaves, flowers, berries, and other additions to the piece from wood. Sometimes if the bird's wings are outstretched, I carve each feather individually from wood.
