Dona Dalton

Philadelphia, PA

My work is as a result of a strong attachment to toys and objects I had as a child which comes out in my interpretation of animals and mythology. I'm interested in connection, especially in the way relationships can be playful and spiritual. I carve on the band saw, shape further on the sander, and use a rotary carver. My painted constructions are poplar, pine, basswood, and aspen. I use latex enamel, metallic leaf and powders, acrylics.
