Selected images show various ways the technique of nesting segmented rings can be used. The machine lathe is used to cut inside and outside diameters to very close tolerances. Because the rings are not stacked, the opportunity for horizontal surface design is greatly enhanced. Flat, curved and folded surfaces assembled on single or multiple centers are possible.
