Rebecca Myers

Baltimore, MD

I find sublime beauty in natural forms and patterns. My work is about the contrast in the materials and the dichotomy of texture, color and form that is captured in nature. I use high karat gold, palladium and oxidized silver in most of my work. While diamonds are used in my pieces, I try to use them to produce a dusting effect or to complete a pattern as opposed to being the focus. Many pieces are fabricated from sheet, overlaid, embossed and finished with abrasive finishes and patinas.
